California Dreaming

Every weekend we stop by three or four Open Houses as we look for a new home. This craftsman bungalow was awesome and exactly the style we're looking to buy.

Summer recap 2

A few weeks ago we went to the Buffy singalong "Once More with Feeling." It essentially takes the musical episode of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and turns it into a pseudo-Rocky Horror evening.
The show was a part of LA Filmfest and our fifth movie of the week. Luckily, it was one of the better movies to end the week beside this great documentary named "Resolved" about high-school debate.

The Buffy show is traveling around the country and worth catching. The best part of the night is at the end of the show. Unbeknownst to everyone, Joss Whedon the writer and creater, was in the audience and came up to speak. Who knew writers could be treated like rock stars? "Shut up Dawn!"

Gonzo, Really!?!

Alberto Gonzales, Really!?! You're in one of the Nation's top legal positions, and you have no short-term recall of any major events, dates or conversations, really!?! You think you can testify on the record to CONGRESS and not tell the truth, really!?! And we're you're caught providing information that differs from sworn testimony of others in your same administration, you cite national security reasons, really!?! Wow, really!?!

Midsummer

OK. I'll admit this summer I have been too busy to blog. I love summer in LA because there are so many things to do. Between travel and all the venues available in the summer, we have at least 2 to 3 activities a week. It's time for a little mid-summer recap. The next few weeks I'll post about the first half highlights:

June began with a bunch of free screenings. Ruel is great and getting us on the list for movies before they get released to the gp. We first saw Daywatch an awesome Russian action/adventure, light and dark movie.

Enough already

It makes me insane. Every day the Bush administraion and many republicans point to the sky and say, "The sky is green." Boldfaced. With no regard to reality they'll continue to make their arguments that, "well in fact the color in the sky contain elements of green, therefore it's green." And on down this path with no adherance to logic or reason. It must end.
