We went to see Half Nelson at the AFI Fest last night. I've seen many of the Oscar nominated movies this year and I have to say that this one was one of my favorite. Ryan Gosling is incredible. The drug addiction almost seemed tactile like you could feel the morning after crustiness. I don't drink anymore but this movie made me feel repulsed by the thought of drinking ever again. Definitely check this one out. Ryan is worth seeing in his tighty whities (you know I had to say that). A great thing about LA is movies. We've attended a few movies where after the screening the writer, director or actors talk about the film. I love getting to hear some more depth about the concepts or how things were filmed. It's given me a greater appreciation.
